The best advice I can think of at times like these came from Hubie Brown. Back when he was coaching the team he said that there are 20 games you're going to win no matter what. Every bounce goes your way, every shot goes in, and you get every foul call. Then there's 20 games you're going to lose no matter what (See the score listed above). Everything you do is wrong. The difference between the good teams and the bad teams is what you do during the other 42 games.
By my count this makes the 3rd game that we were just going to lose. We've only had 2 of the 20 'freebie' wins, so my my fanmath that puts us at 3 - 7 in the 'games that matter' category. Not great, but not terrible given our schedule (why not just have every game we play be a back-to-back, league?).
Here's something that bothers me, though. Casey Jacobson played 26 minutes and scored 3 points. Kinsey played 12 minutes and scored 11 points. Sure, it was garbage time, but my man can score! Can we get him some of those fat Jacobson minutes?

Grizzlies 110 - Nets 103
Another Grizzlies Game, another thriller. As he has so often done this year, Kyle Lowry proves what a stud he is by making a reverse layup OVER Richard Jefferson (who, by the way, is 7 inches taller than Kyle) and getting the foul when the Nets were within one late in the 4th.
Lowry is crazy talented, and is living up to some pretty lofty expectations from last year. We were all pretty excited about Kyle coming back, but short of walking across the Mississippi without getting his feet wet I wasn't sure how he'd live up to the hype. Turns out I didn't need to worry. I dont' know whether it's because Damon's doing such a great job taking the kid under his wing, or he's inspired by the competition with Conley, or he really is just that good. What's more, I don't care. All I know is we've got one of the most exciting young point guards in the league - a guy who defends like a rabid dog, penetrates like A.I., and dishes like a sober Jason Williams. So what if he shoots 3s like Stevie Wonder. We need another bomber on this team like Lindsey Lohan needs Brittney as a rehab partner.
Let's see if we can't get a measure of revenge tonight against the Raptors!

Welcome to Grizzline!
Honestly, I don't know why it's taken me so long to do this! I was one of the first 500 season ticket holders back when the team first moved here. I'm a corporate partner. I'm on the Fan Advisory Board. I've never missed an opening night, a MLK Day game, or a playoff game. And every day I've got a couple gazillion things to say about the Grizzlies. So why has it taken me so long to start a blog? No idea.
Probably because I figure nobody cares. And I'd be right. Still, at least this gives me an outlet. And we're off at Grizzline.blogspot.com!
